Benagil is most famous for the sea cave located just around the corner from the beach. This cave has been featured in top destination lists and “places you have to see” all across the internet and has become one of the top things to do in the Algarve.
The boats launch right off the beach, and its busy. There are kayak tours, boat tours, and catamaran tours ranging from 30 minutes to several hours.
Our guides for the trip. George was pretty impressed how he could could maneuver the boat in and out of all the caves.
Spotted a whole bunch of storks nesting in a field. There were about 100 nests in total and they all had babies!
Took the scenic route back to Lagos.
Really love that this is an Adult Only Hotel, so nice chilling at the pool... the water still cold but a few more people decided to brave it with me!.
We have noticed a very "chill" vibe in Portugal, there are no honking of horns.... no road range, no angry fists... the round-abouts are calm, nobody signals, you just filter in, wait your turn.....apparently it’s a deeply ingrained cultural cocktail of history, geography, and a very specific philosophy of time.
Whether you're sipping a coffee in a Lagos plaza or wandering through the Douro Valley, its just chill...
The crime rate is one of the lowest in Europe
Cheers!
