Reality has set in....its laundry day...we could not put it off any longer. Found one next to a market. One cool thing is the washers actually dispense the soap, no need to add your own. Great for Travellers!

Decided I wanted to buy bananas, easy to walk and eat.... the line moved a little slow...George asked me if it was worth it....yes it was, of course. As people paid and left with their produce, she either cupped their hands, or said something nice and smiled.....When I got to the front of the line, she said what I was sure was "Linda", I smiled, paid for my bananas, then she blew me a kiss....after I translated it, "Linda" in Portugese translates perfectly to "Beautiful"! Oh it was worth the wait.
The biggest red and green peppers we have ever seen!
Olives and lupini beans...we had seen people eating these before but had no idea what they were, apparently they are the ultimate Portuguese bar and beach snack, typically served cold alongside a cold beer! I guess kinda like bar nuts!
And coffee and dessert for breakfast! George's was Bread of the God's and mine....I never could figure out what she said but it was delicious.
These were the absolute biggest croissants we have ever seen, twice the regular size. They do it big here!
Figured we better hit the beach here for a bit before we moved on. Lots of beach to enjoy but the water, she's COLD!
We both agreed this is by far our favorite place, Vila Nova de Milfontes....would have loved to have spent another few days here...❤️ this is the perfect mix of the Portugese people and culture, the beaches and just the right mix of like minded tourists in a little off the beaten path in a quaint little town.
Stopped at a really interesting lookout. There is a very popular hike here called Fisherman's Trail, its 230 km long and is done in 13 stages and is considered one of the most breathtaking in the world. You could tell some were doing just one stage and some looked very weary so perhaps had combined several stages.
Its one of those places that I just can't get too close to the edge of the cliff!
We had lots of time today as we only had a short distance to go and a long time to get there.
We saw lots of these trees that looked like pine trees of some sort, and turns out thats where we get "pine nuts" from!
Stopped for lunch in a quiet little town which is a resting spot for the hikers as well as bikers and is popular for surfers.
Ate at a little Portugese Cafe, burger, panini ham & cheese and 2 beer, $10.10 euro, cheapest meal we have had yet!
Arrived in Lagos at our room, amazing place, close to the beach and old towne!
Welcome wine & water...got us there!
And ear plugs!!!

We are about a 5 minute walk to the beach from here. Lots of people at the beach but only a few dipping in the water.
Checked out Old Towne, little shopping, little listening to the music, and a little late lunch then back to the room to relax and enjoy a glass of vino!
